Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 gives the public a right to apply for access to documents held by the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria (Vetboard Victoria).

Making a Freedom of Information request

Freedom of information requests can be lodged either online at www.foi.vic.gov.au, or in writing to:

General Manager & Registrar
Vetboard Victoria
Level 14, 10-16 Queen Street
Melbourne VIC 3000

When applying, the applicant must clearly describe the documents and materials to which they want access. Assistance can be provided to applicants to help them decide the type of documents to request.

Fees and charges

There is an application fee of $30.10. If payment of the application fee is likely to cause hardship to the applicant, the application fee may be waived.

Extra access charges may be payable if there are many documents and searching for the material will take a lot of time, e.g. $20 an hour to search, photocopying at 5 cents a page.
