Vetboard Victoria newsletter - April 2021

The latest edition of Vetboard Victoria's newsletter presents Board guidance on veterinary medical records and some information on a new Sustainable Practice Committee established by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council.

There is an update following the recent biosecurity advisory on Ehrlichia canis, an item explaining how to report suspected rodenticide poisonings of companion animals, and several other animal welfare updates.

The newsletter promotes an ASAV webinar on Ehrlichia canis and reminds vets and the public about the second webinar on the Board's revised guidelines scheduled for 7:30pm on Thursday, 15 April. Vets are also invited to review the Australian Department of Agriculture's 'Emergency Animal Disease Field Guide for Veterinarians' and complete a survey on the guide. Cattle veterinarians are invited to take a survey on attitudes to antibiotic use.
